Upland Hills Health Hosts 4-H Donators
The Rockwell Mills 4-H Club in Dodgeville got the opportunity
to tour areas of Upland Hills Health on Saturday.
About 75
4-H members and parents spent the evening on a tour of the
new Wellness Center facility, as well as the Kidney Dialysis
Center, set to open next month. The group recently made a
generous donation to the Dialysis Center.
Administrator Phyllis
Fritsch talked to the group about dialysis and how it works,
as well as how it is going to serve the community. “It
was a pleasure to host the club and let them see firsthand
how their donation is really going to help the people who
need dialysis in their community,” Fritsch said.
The
group also watched a video describing the first day of treatment
for a dialysis patient. Each club member then received a
dialysis card, signed by Upland Hills Health volunteer Anna
Whalen.
The club held its monthly meeting in the new conference
facilities at the hospital after the tour.
Upland Hills Health
Foundation Director Tammie Richter added, “The Foundation
was excited to host the 4-H meeting and show the members
the impact their donation has had on the Dialysis program.
It is very rewarding to see that the youth in our community
are getting involved in a program that will serve so many
of their neighbors.”
