Upland Hills Health recognizes performance excellence at Annual Awards Banquet

Saturday February 4, 2006 Upland Hills Health staff, board members, and physicians gathered to celebrate individual accomplishments and performance excellence.

Troy Marx, Director of Human Resources, acknowledged,  “The Awards Banquet is a unique opportunity for the Hospital to publicly recognized professional excellence and to thank all those that make Upland Hills Health a superior health care organization. Plus we get to kick up our heels and have a little fun too!”

Jeff Weber, recently retired Dodgeville Fire Chief, received the Kaye Davis Community Wellness Award—recognizing his outstanding contributions to the community while serving as volunteer firefighter, Fire Chief, and Chairman of the Iowa County Local Emergency Planning Committee.

Lisa Faherty-Bilse RN received the Kaye Walsh Spirit of Optimism Award. Faherty-Bilse was recognized as a valuable resource serving the ICU, ER, Medical Surgical departments—setting a superior example with her level of nursing excellence and positive attitude.

Lynn Hebgen, Maternal/Child Director received the Leadership Award for the progressive management and programs she has initiated in Upland Hill Health’s Birthing Unit. Her leadership skills were recognized as an example for other managers to emulate. 

Long-term employees were recognized for their dedication and service. Recipients of special recognition included Karl Pustina, Karen Thuli and Donna Thielorn (20 years of service), Jill Roethe and Ellen Aurit (25 years of service) and Gail Rohowetz for 30 years of service.

Also recognized were Dr. Pamela K Rice, MD for her service as 2005 Medical Staff President, and 2005 Retirees Dr. Raul Waters and John Tessendorf  for their years of dedicated service.
