Home Care awarded a deficiency-free rating
during recent State Survey
April 17th was a day of triumph for the Upland Hills Home
Care team. Still mourning the loss of their treasured colleague,
Diane Schaaf RN--who died a year ago to the day—the
team learned that they earned deficiency-free status after
a recent state survey. Deficiency-free is the highest ranking
an organization can earn.
The survey results verify that the meticulous practices
of Upland Hills Home Care staff are part of their daily commitment
to excellence. All Home Care organizations are surveyed on
an every 18 months to three year time basis—at unannounced
intervals. And since Upland Hills Home Care had just been
successfully surveyed 18 months prior a revisit was not expected
so soon.
“I’m not surprised. Our home care team is exceptional,” shared
Deanna Wilson MSN and Director of Community Care Services
at Upland Hills Health. “We have highly-skilled caregivers,
who really care about their patients and about each other.
That’s the perfect combination for excellent care.”
