Upland Hills Health's Emergency Docs
Donate over $5,500 to Education
Madison Emergency Physicians (MEP), the group of board-certified
emergency doctors that staff the Upland Hills Health Emergency
Department, recently made a generous donation to Upland Hills
Health, to purchase an Advanced Life Support mannequin, for
training staff and community members.
Emergency Department
Medical Director Dr. Philip Shultz presented a check for
over $5,500 from the MEP physicians in late December.
“MEP
is dedicated to making the Upland Hills Health Emergency
Department the very best,” said Dr. Schultz. “This
contribution will allow Upland Hills Health to acquire a
state of the art piece of equipment that will positively
impact the quality of training for staff and emergency responders.”
“We feel that it is important to support the mission
of the hospital and medical staff,” said Michael Foley,
M.D., MEP’s President. “MEP
envisions a long and successful partnership with the hospital and relationship
with the community,”
“This contribution from MEP is an important part
of allowing us to acquire a piece of equipment hat is used
in training the majority of staff members at Upland Hills
Health,” said Tammie Richter, Foundation
Director.
Approximately 50-60 people taking life saving classes
at Upland Hills Health each year, and this mannequin will
provide a realistic environment for teaching these skills.
