Upland Hills Health recently added
$500 to the endowment used for the Diane Schaaf, R.N.,
Memorial Scholarship at Southwest Technical College.
The endowment for the scholarship was established by
Upland Hills Health last year, after the tragic death
of Diane Schaaf, Home Care nurse at Upland Hills Health
and wound care instructor at SWTC.
“Our goal is to continually grow the endowment
each year to allow for more scholarships in the future,” explained
Troy Marx, Human Resources Director at Upland Hills
Health. Additional charitable contributions can be
made to this fund by any person or group and the additional
funds will be added to the principal of the endowment
fund.
The scholarship is awarded annually in the amount
of $500 to an Associate Degree Nursing student at Southwest
Technical College. Upland Hills Health has a second
scholarship established that is awarded yearly to a
SWTC student as well.
