Upland Hills Health held its annual Volunteer Recognition
banquet on April 19th, with record attendance.
The banquet is held yearly during National Volunteer
Week, to honor and thank the hospital volunteers for
the time they have donated to Upland Hills Health.
2006 marked a record year for volunteer hours as well—over
5,000 hours were logged in all areas of the hospital,
from Infusion Therapy to the Gift Shop.
Volunteers were presented with a certificate listing
their total hours for 2006, and an inspirational book
as a gift for their service. Some volunteers were also
awarded a pin, depending on their running total of
hours.
“Our volunteers are just amazing,” said
Erin Groshek, Volunteer Coordinator at Upland Hills
Health. “They contribute so much to the success
of our hospital and I can always count on them to be
there to help when it’s needed.” Thirty
volunteers attended the banquet, where they enjoyed
a breakfast buffet at the Dodger Bowl.
