Upland Hills Health Earns Proficient Recognition
Upland Hills Health was recently awarded the Proficient
level of recognition from the Wisconsin Forward Award. The
scoring system allows for different tiers within the Proficient
level, and Upland Hills Health scored in the highest tier.
The
Wisconsin Forward Award was created to honor Wisconsin businesses
that are committed to high standards of excellence in their
business practices.
According to WFA information, organizations
are rated “Proficient” if
they are “making significant progress in the successful implementation
of quality,” based on criteria developed by WFA.
Steve McCarthy, Assitant Administrator for Strategic Business
Operations and Phil Swain, Therapy Director at Upland Hills
Health, both past Wisconsin Forward Award evaluators, commented
that for a first-time applicant, the Proficient level is an
excellent achievement.

A full feedback report described Upland Hills Health’s
strengths, including community benefits programs, a strong
strategic planning process, integrated with continuous performance
inprovment studies, and an excellent budgeting process. The
WFA also commented on Upland Hills Health’s human resources
program, noting the employee focus evidenced by the variety
of benefits, services and support programs offered to employees.
Upland Hills Health was honored for the achievement by the
Wisconsin Forward Award organization at a ceremony August
1 in Madison.
