Upland Hills Health Healthcare Excellence in Your Community

Upland Hills Health Establishing Foundation

Upland Hills Health will soon have a Foundation to work toward fundraising for the hospital.

Tammie Richter will join Upland Hills Health on June 25th as the new Foundation Director. She has served as the Foundation Manager for Southwest Technical College for the past seven years.

Richter will be responsible for beginning a Foundation for Upland Hills Health and overseeing its implementation and long-term fundraising efforts. “It is my desire to be able to develop a strong Foundation which will have a significant impact on the quality of services and programs offered at Upland Hills Health,” she said.

To get the Foundation started, Richter hopes to familiarize herself with the hospital’s needs and funding issues and to help staff members, volunteers and stakeholders at Upland Hills Health understand the opportunities the Foundation will bring to the organization.

“We need a professional dedicated to helping us prepare for future growth and to support services that are not profit-making, but that our community needs,” said Phyllis Fritsch, Administrator at Upland Hills Health. The organization began searching for a Foundation Director in March of 2005, in an effort to make it easier and more organized for people to give.

“With a Foundation established, we can be more prepared to accept people’s generosity and make it an easier experience for them,” Fritsch said. She anticipates that the Foundation Director will work hand-in-hand with Upland Hills Auxiliary as mutual resources, but the groups will remain separate entities.
