Upland Hills Health Shuttle Service puts patients
first
Anticipating some confusion and frustration, Upland Hills
Health has employed several measures to help patients and
visitors navigate their way around the constructions zones
and inevitable conveniences of the Building for Excellence
project.
One of those measures is a parking lot shuttle service
to take patients from their car to their destination with
minimal inconvenience. 95% of the time the smiling face behind
the shuttle van wheel belongs to Shawn Benson. Benson is
a CNA that has taken on the challenge of greeting folks in
the parking lots, escorting them to their destination and
even valet parking their car if need be. “Anything
I can do to make folks life a bit easier is in my job description.” states
Benson, “It’s great helping people and answering
questions about this exciting building project.”

The Upland Hills Health shuttle patrols the parking lots
from 7 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Thursday and 7 am to
1 pm on Friday. Shuttle service is available anytime Monday
through Friday by simply alerting the main admissions desk
personnel. Patients are invited to call in advance for the
shuttle service by calling 930-7200 ext 4300.
Another measure is the establishment of a greeter station
at the hospital’s west/Specialty Clinic entrance. Volunteer
Coordinator Erin Groshek is working with volunteers to man
the information desk to assist patients and visitors as they
navigate their way through the halls of the expanding facility.
If you are interested in becoming an Info Desk/Greeter contact
