Upland Hills Health offers onsite Bone Densitometry Services

Upland Hills Health now offers the latest bone screening technology with a newly installed bone densitometer. The sophisticated densitometer measures bone mineral density which relates directly to bone strength.
This test allows doctors to diagnose osteoporosis, gauge risk potential for osteoporosis, and track bone changes over time. It allows physicians to proactively serve their patients—prescribing medications, therapy, and lifestyle changes before a patient has osteoporosis.

You can schedule a bone density screening by contacting your primary care physician to coordinate an appointment with Upland Hills Health radiology department.

“Dress in comfortable close without buckles, metal buttons or zippers—sweat pants are ideal. The procedure is simple, painless, and over in minutes,” explained Lynette Collins Director of Radiology.
