Hospice: What is Hospice?

Hospice is a way of caring for people with a terminal illness. Upland Hills Hospice focuses on living and maintaining quality of life rather than focusing on length of life. We offer those with a terminal illness and their loved ones support and comfort during this difficult time.

Hospice regards dying as a normal process and we work to relieve pain and address the physical, emotional, and spiritual feelings that the patient and family members feel when faced with a terminal illness.

Hospice refers to a concept of care, not a specific building or place. Hospice services are provided at home, in a hospital, nursing homes, or freestanding facilities.
