This screener allows parents to make informed decisions regarding possible medical response needed to correct hearing loss within the critical first three months of a baby's life.

Upland Hills Health Emergency Department Joins Initiative to Benefit Heart Attack Victims

 
   
According to the American Heart Association, about every 25 seconds an American will suffer a heart attack and every minute, one will die from it. In addition to this, it is calculated that every 4 minutes, someone will die of a stroke. In emergency situations, time is everything. It could be the difference between life and death or a full or partial recovery when it comes to matters of the heart.

The volunteers that work with Upland Hills Hospice were recently recognized during National Volunteer Week for their service to the program. The volunteers play a very important role in the Hospice program, providing additional comfort, interaction, friendship and care for patients and their families and caregivers.

Upland Hills Health Offers Safe Sitter Program

 
   
The Best Babysitter is a Safe Sitter. Safe Sitter is a medically accurate, hands-on class that teaches boys and girls ages 11-13 how to handle emergencies when caring for children. The class will run from 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. on June 29th and 30th.

United Fund Supports OB, Dialysis Centers at Upland Hills Health

 
   
The United Fund of Iowa County recently approved a grant request from Upland Hills Health to allow the organization to purchase items for both the Birthing Unit and the Dialysis Center.

Upland Hills Health Plans Community Fun Run Event

 
   
In honor of National Nurses’ Day, Upland Hills Health will host a Community Fun Run to honor the compassion, care and generosity nurses bring to their communities. The event will be held Thursday, May 6 at the Upland Hills Health Campus and feature a 5k run/walk, a 10k run, and for children 12 and under, a kids run.

Dodgeville Masonic Lodge Contributes to Upland Hills Dialysis Fund

 
   
A $4,000 donation recently made to support Upland Hills Dialysis came in large part from the efforts of Dodgeville Masons Lodge #119. $2,000 of the donation was a matching contribution from the Medical Fund, of the Wisconsin Masonic Foundation, which was facilitated through the local lodge.
